Staff will be available during normal clinic hours to help triage your calls and make appointments for you.

Although most problems are handled via direct consultation, a doctor or nurse will always be avalible during normal surgery hours for emergency advice. 

Our staff are experienced in helping you decide whether the matter requires an appointment, a return phone call from your doctor or an urgent appointment. 

If your Doctor has requested you to have tests done, please make an appointment for review of all your results. 

This can be done by phoning the clinic or making an online booking via our website or by downloading the Hotdoc app.    

The Strathalbyn Medical Clinic has a recall system available to remind you to attend for routine investigations and/or immunisations, this will be sent to you via a secure text message and will give you the option to book an apointment or direct you to call the clinic.  If you do not have a mobile number you will still receive a letter via the post.  

If you would like to register for one of our recalls, please let our receptionist know, or discuss it with your doctor.


Patients need to make an appointment to see a doctor for the following:

  • Scripts
  •  Sick certificates

This is a legal requirement of the Health Commission.

The Strathalbyn Medical Clinic is a fully accredited practice and follows the guidelines recommended by the Australian Medical Association (AMA) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) regarding infection control and sterilising techniques.

The policy of the Strathalbyn Medical Clinic is that all patients are required to pay their accounts in full on the day. 

A list of current fees is available at reception upon request. 





Payment is accepted in the form of:

  • EFTPOS
  • Visa / Mastercard
  • Cash

Full payment is to be made on the day of consultation. Please make sure your bank details are registered and up to date with Medicare, we will send your claim to Medicare and the rebate will be deposited into your nominated bank account.  ​​​​​​​

All children under 9 years of age accounts will be sent to direct to medicare fo all IN HOURS Consultations Monday - Friday. 

For any further queries or difficulties regarding payment of your account please speak to the Receptionist or Practice Manager (Strathalbyn Medical Clinic).

Our practice operates according to the Australian Medical Association Code of Ethics. 

From time to time we may ask you to complete a confidential questionnaire giving your thoughts on the clinic and the services we offer.  If you feel that improvements can be made, we are keen to hear your suggestions.
